Fans have chosen an opponent for McGregor

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans have chosen the most desirable opponent for American Nate Diaz. The post is available on the Twitter account of journalist Chamatkar Sandhu.

More than ten thousand users took part in Sandhu’s survey. Respondents were offered options for a fight involving Diaz. Among the potential rivals were named Jorge Masvidal, Conor McGregor, and Dustin Poirier.

Most fans expressed their desire to see a third fight between McGregor and Diaz. 55 per cent of users voted for this option.

On March 19, McGregor announced that he was ready to fight Kamaru Usman when he returned to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The last time the Irishman entered the octagon was in the summer of 2021 when he lost to Poirier in their third fight.

Diaz and McGregor met twice in the octagon. In March 2016, the American became the first to defeat an Irish fighter. In the summer of that year, McGregor took revenge.
