Paris Saint-Germain general manager Jean-Claude Blanc has commented on rumors that the Qatari owners will leave the club after the end of the 2022 World Cup.

“I don’t have any information about this. The desire to build PSG for a long time was repeatedly confirmed by Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Now, for example, we are building a completely unusual training center near Paris and in a year we plan to put it into operation, ”RMC Sport quotes Blanc as saying.

Recall that the World Cup in Qatar will be held at eight stadiums from November 21 to December 18, 2022.

The winner of the previous draw, which took place in Russia in 2018, was the French team. Didier Deschamps’ team beat Croatia 4-2.

Paris put on an exciting series. Only now the team can be left without a coach.

When it seemed that the coaching saga at PSG was finally coming to an end, the situation turned 180 degrees. Everything is clear with Mauricio Pochettino – they are about to get rid of him. But the candidacy of the new head coach raised questions. And now there are more and more of these questions.

A few days ago, the Spanish media shied away with the news that Zizou would head PSG. It was alleged that the club fulfilled all the conditions of the Frenchman: a huge salary (the highest in the world among coaches), a contract extension with Kylian Mbappe and full control of the sports block. On June 11, Zidane was supposed to hold the final round of talks in Qatar. And, apparently, something went wrong at this meeting with the owners.

Here’s some news to give you an idea of just how close Zidane was to a PSG appointment. First, the name of Zizu’s assistant was known. They were supposed to be Claude Makelele, who, as it turned out, even participated in the negotiations. Secondly, because of Zidane, the transfer of Paul Pogba to Juventus almost failed. The midfielder found out about the upcoming appointment of Zizou and wanted to play under him. Thirdly, PSG made an unprecedented concession for a top club and was not opposed to Zidane coaching the French national team in parallel.
