Manchester City beat Real Madrid 4-3 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

English “Manchester City” beat the Spanish “Real” in the first semi-final match of the Champions League football.

The meeting, held in Manchester, ended with the score 4:3. The winners included Kevin de Bruyne (2nd minute), Gabriel Jesus (11), Phil Foden (53) and Bernardo Silva (74). Karim Benzema (33, 82) scored a double for the guests, Vinicius Junior (55) also scored.

In the 54th minute, the head coach of the English team, Josep Guardiola, received a yellow card.

It took De Bruyne 93 seconds to open the scoring in the meeting. He scored the fastest goal in the history of the Champions League semi-finals. Benzema made his 600th game for Real Madrid and broke the 40-goal mark in a single season in all club competitions for the first time in his career. Manchester City and Real Madrid have equalled the record for the most goals scored in a Champions League semi-final. Previously, seven goals were scored in 1995 in the match Ajax – Bayern (5: 2) and in 2018 in the game Liverpool – Roma (5: 2).

The second leg of the 1/2 finals will be held on May 4 in Madrid.
