The British consortium has submitted an application to buy “Chelsea” in London, which has already clarified its offer.

According to Bloomberg, Centricus Asset Management Ltd has joined the negotiations for the club, which was formed in cooperation with Jonathan Luri, representing Cheyne Capital, and Bob Finch, representing Talis Capital. The British consortium is offering more than 3.6 billion euros for the club, including further investment commitments.

It is mentioned that The Raine Group investment bank of New York, which is studying all the offers for  “Chelsea”, may soon summarize the final list of possible buyers of the club.

The London investment company has also been interested in sports in the past. In particular, it discussed with UEFA the financing package for the reorganization of the Champions League, the value of which is estimated at 8.4 billion euros. Centricus said in a statement that in case of absorbing the club, it intends to keep the current management of “Chelsea”.

In the coming days, Nick Candy is expected to make an offer to buy Chelsea Football Club from Roman Abramovich.

The 49-year-old British property entrepreneur is married to Holly Valance, a former pop sensation and actress.

Candy is expected to make an offer worth £2.5 billion ($3.27 billion) before the end of the week, according to the Daily Mail.

Candy is only worth roughly £1.5 billion, according to the report, so his offer would be in combination with a partner or consortium.

Candy is a Chelsea fan, and it’s been said that his knowledge of the team, local real estate skills, and the fact that he’s already based in west London have made him highly appealing to American investors.
