The UK government has made another change to Chelsea’s operating license.

According to the source, the change could see the parent company invest up to £30m in Chelsea to keep the club running amid cash and liquidity problems.

The founder of the London club is Fordstam Ltd, which is owned by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.

Recall that on March 10, the UK imposed sanctions against Abramovich. The Premier League removed the Russian from the management of Chelsea. The businessman decided to sell the club and handed over management to the trustees of the charitable foundation.

Earlier, Abramovich made an official statement about the management of the club and handed over the leadership to the trustees of the Chelsea Charitable Foundation.

Abramovich has owned Chelsea since 2003. During this time, the Blues have become four-time champions of England, won the Champions League and the Europa League twice each, won the UEFA Super Cup, won the FA Cup five times, took the League Cup three times and won the FA Super Cup twice.

The CNN Turk TV channel claims that the owner of the Turkish football club Göztepe is negotiating with representatives of Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, who fell under the sanctions, to sell the club.

According to the channel, the owner of Göztepe, Mehmet Sepil, who resigned from the presidency due to the team’s unsuccessful performance in the national championship, sees Abramovich as a potential buyer of the club.
