Barcelona to face Real Madrid for Mbappé transfer

Catalan “Barcelona” have set their sights on French striker “Paris Saint-Germain” Kylian Mbappe. It is reported by L’Equipe.

The Blue Garnet are ready to join the fight for the 23-year-old striker of the Parisians. Barcelona has set its sights on Mbappe’s transfer after securing a €595m loan from Goldman Sachs. The Catalan club concluded that Barcelona can compete with Real Madrid for the striker.

On March 8, it was reported that PSG attempted to keep Mbappe. The Parisians offered the striker a contract with a salary of 100 million euros per year. If the contract was signed, Mbappe would become the highest-paid football player in the world.

PSG have made a new offer to the 23-year-old. The Parisians are ready to pay Mbappe 100 million euros a year. If the Frenchman agrees, he will become the highest-paid footballer in the world.

According to Transfermarkt, he is the most expensive player on the planet. His transfer fee is estimated at 160 million euros.

Real Madrid learned about the offer of PSG, but are not ready to put forward their conditions. Madrid is waiting for Mbappe to join the club when his current contract with the Parisians expires. The current agreement runs through June 30, 2022.

Mbappe’s current deal with PSG expires in the summer of 2022. The main contender for the striker is Real Madrid. The Spanish club intends to sign the player on a free transfer.

Mbappé has scored 15 goals in 26 matches this season. He has been playing for the Parisians since 2017.
